The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

The National Financial Literacy Quiz (NFLQ) 2025, conducted by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in partnership with the National Institute of Securities Market (NISM), is currently underway.

As part of SEBI’s broader efforts to promote financial awareness, this initiative aims to bolster financial literacy and securities market knowledge among undergraduate and postgraduate students across India.

This year’s NFLQ saw 4,77,489 student registrations. Of these, 2,34,036 participated in the preliminary online college round, held between December 1, 2024 and April 30, 2025 with 1,67,623 students qualifying for the Regional Rounds.

The Eastern Regional Round was held in Kolkata on June 21 22, 2025 and saw participation of 60 undergraduate and 50 postgraduate institutes from states across West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar. The Southern Regional Round was held in Bengaluru on July 5 6, 2025 with participation from 50 undergraduate and 60 postgraduate institutes across Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana.

Upcoming Regional Rounds are scheduled as follows:

The top 10 colleges from each zone will proceed to the National Round, which will be held at the NISM Campus in Patalganga, Maharashtra, on November 8 and November 9, 2025.
