(NISM)

The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

NISM conducted a half –day program on Careers in securities Markets on 23rd December, 2014 at Maharashtra Education Society’s Garware College of Commerce, Pune. The program was attended by 110 students from graduate level commerce students of the college.

Principal Dr. N S Umarani talked about various activities of Garware College and need of such program for students of the college.

Shri. Sandip GhoseDirector NISM, spoke on ‘How to develop one’s career by focussing on four simple though very important aspects of learning viz. Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening’.

Nitin Tike – Sr. V. P. NISM, spoke on significance of securities markets, various intermediaries in the market and career opportunities in securities markets and importance of certification examinations offered by NISM.

Shri. Sudhir Savkar from Central Depository Services (India) Ltd. gave a well wishing speech at the end of the program.
