The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) marked another important milestone with the inauguration of the 5th batch of its Post Graduate Programme (PGP- PM/ IA/ RA) for the academic session 2025–26. The ceremony was held in hybrid mode reflecting NISM’s commitment to inclusive and flexible learning.

This unique, industry-aligned program offers three specialized tracks—Portfolio Management (PM), Investment Advisory (IA) and Research Analysis (RA) designed to meet the evolving needs of the Indian securities markets. The PGP aims to develop domain-ready professionals through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical exposure. Delivered by seasoned faculty and industry experts, the curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning and strong market orientation.

The event began with the Welcome Address by Dr. Rachana Baid, Dean (Academics) & Programme Director- PGP ( PM/ IA /RA) , NISM followed by an Inaugural Address from Shri Sashi Krishnan, Director, NISM.

The session also included the Introduction of Faculty Members and Department Heads who were introduced to the students along with their academic and industry expertise offering a glimpse into the robust intellectual and mentoring support available throughout the program.

The students of the incoming PGP 2025–26 batch were then introduced. A total of 72 participants have enrolled in this batch, bringing with them a diverse blend of educational backgrounds, professional experiences and regional representation. Their presence adds fresh perspectives and vibrant energy to the NISM learning ecosystem enriching the collaborative academic environment.
