(NISM)

The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) and National Law University Odisha (NLUO), Cuttack on November 03, 2016 at NLUO Campus, Cuttack.

The MOU was signed between Dr. Sandip Ghose, Director, NISM and Prof. (Dr.) Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice-Chancellor, NLUO in the presence of Dr. Dolly Jabbal, Registrar, NLUO, Dr. A. Aruna Sri Lakshmi, Chairperson Academic Council, NLUO, Prof. (Dr.) Sheela Rai, Controller Examination, NLUO, Mr. Mayank Tiwari, Assistant Professor, NLUO and Shri Hruda Ranjan Sahoo, Faculty, NISM (On deputation from SEBI). The MOU will go a long way in fostering academics and research between the two institutes, thereby promoting capacity building in securities markets both in training and employment.

The MoU was signed to jointly set up the ‘Centre of Excellence’ to promote Corporate Governance for raising awareness and standards of market integrity and to conduct various activities such as conferences / seminars / workshops / faculty development programmes / trainings and to promote research in the areas of Securities Markets including Corporate Laws, Securities Laws, etc.
