The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

MoU with LIBA

Shri Sandip Ghose and Rev. Fr. P. Christie, SJ – on signing the MoU

National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), Chennai. This MoU calls for collaboration in knowledge dissemination, skill enhancement and research in the domain of securities markets.

Under the MoU, the institutes plan to launch a wide array of capacity building activities including short-term and long-term programmes, certification programmes, workshop and faculty development programmes. The programmes would support the career aspirations (in securities markets) of students and working professionals in and around Chennai.

The signing ceremony of the MoU was held in Loyola Institute of Business Administration (Sterling Road, Chennai) at 9:30 am on 27th March 2018. The MoU was signed by Shri Sandip Ghose (Director, NISM) and Rev. Fr. P. Christie, SJ (Director, LIBA), in the presence of Mr. Ramanathan Hariharan (Head – MDC, LIBA), Dr. Lakshmi Narayanan (Associate Dean, LIBA) and other senior faculty members from LIBA and representatives from NISM.
