(NISM)

The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

NISM has entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with GLA University, Mathura (Uttar Pradesh), wherein NISM and GLA University jointly will launch the PGPSM (Post Graduate Program in Securities Markets), a one year Post Graduate Program to create a cadre of securities market professionals in the country. The program would be launched at GLA University Campus, Mathura during the current academic year 2019-20.

The program would rely on the strengths of National Institute of Securities Markets, wherein NISM has launched the program successfully for the last eight years. The students enrolled in the program at GLA University would spend the initial two trimesters at GLA University Mathura and the remaining two trimesters at NISM Campus, Patalganga.

With this tie up, it is expected that the securities market intermediaries situated in the northern region of India would get the required specialized manpower to manage the operations.
