The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

Mr. Saurabh Mukherjea, founder of Marcellus Investment Management, addressed the NISM students at NISM Campus, Patalganga on September 28, 2018. He is also the author of the book ‘Coffee Can Investing’.

Dr. M. Thenmozhi, Director, NISM and other faculty members were also present during his session.

Mr. Mukherjea has explained in detail about ‘Coffee Can Portfolio’. He emphasized 8-10 CCP stocks for investment and advised to open the can after 10 years. He also suggested to avoid investment in real estate, gold, any other physical asset etc. for wealth certain. Rather, follow the principle of ‘coffee can investing’ in equity for wealth certain.
