The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

As part of NISM’s ongoing commitment to empower students of Partner Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), a series of 18 Online Student Development Programmes (SDPs) were conducted during May, June, July, and August 2025. The final session of this series was conducted in August 2025 marking the successful conclusion of the third cycle of Online SDPs for the students of Partner HEIs for the Financial Year 2025–26.

Dr. Samta Jain delivered an engaging session on “AI in Finance”, covering the foundations and evolving landscape of artificial intelligence in the financial sector. The session explored applied AI use cases in securities and capital markets, introduced the concept of Generative AI, and discussed emerging trends shaping the future of finance. Participants gained valuable insights into how AI technologies are transforming financial services and decision-making processes.
